Photographing Ebony and Jovan’s couple’s maternity session was such a sweet full circle moment. I first met them 4 years ago when they modeled for the DFW Photographers Winter Shootout. To be completely honest, I triple checked the date on the shootout, because it doesn't seem possible that it's only been 4 years!! It feels like we’ve known each other forever! I’m so honored to call the Wordlaws my friends, and I am excited and eager to celebrate with them as they welcome their son into the world!
We started out at Trinity Groves, a trendy West Dallas spot filled with restaurants and shops walking distance from the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. Isn’t this momma to be so stylish and chic in her royal blue dress? I’m thinking that she’s got that glow!

S is for Sebastian and Seuss….Dr. Seuss that is. Oh the Places You’ll Go little one! S is also for stylish, because this momma and daddy are quite fierce!
Jovan can more than hold his own on the basketball court, so baby Sebastian will have the opportunity to learn some great skills!
Some might think the B and G letters posted around Dallas mean Big things Happen Here, but we know it really means that Sebastian being born is a big deal ;)
This session was originally scheduled prior to their baby shower, however the weather had different plans so we had to hold off a bit. Fortunately, the rain clouds cleared and the sun came out. Can you believe that it was nearly 70 degrees in December? No complaints here! It was almost like the pretty blue sky wanted to celebrate the arrival of this baby boy too!

From engagement sessions to anniversaries and everything in between, I love getting to celebrate a couple’s connection. And what more beautiful time to document their love story, than when they are writing a new chapter in anticipation of their growing family. Ebony and Jovan, cheers to love and parenthood!
