With my birthday about two months away (what what???), I am in full on party planning mode. One idea I’m completely captivated by is a flower design class. You bring in a talented florist who provides all the goods (fresh flowers, vases, etc.), and teaches all in attendance how to make a floral arrangement and everyone leaves with a fresh floral favor. Pretty cool huh? I think so too :)
Funny enough, last year on my birthday, Heidi, owner of Sugar Bee Sweets in Arlington, Texas invited me to photograph her most adorable baby shower where, you guessed it, she had a flower design class. The incredibly talented Bryna of A Fresh Approach came in with a wide array of gorgeous blooms and taught guests how to create beautiful arrangements. I admit, ever since I first saw Bryna in action, I’ve been dreaming of when I could invite her out to do the same thing for me :D Bryna clearly has a passion for teaching horticulture and design and she makes everyone feel comfortable and confident in their work. Truly every single arrangement the ladies created looked fabulous!
So what do you think? Would you host/attend a shower/party including a mini floral design class? Let me know your thoughts! In the meantime, I’ll keep dreaming ;)
While I party plan, please enjoy the photos from Heidi’s baby shower.
Sugar Bee Sweets has a back room perfect for hosting intimate events like showers and birthday parties.
Here are a few of the florals that Bryna brought.
What is a shower without sweets??? All expertly made by the Sugar Bee team of course. Would you believe me if I say I didn't have a single bite ;)
The lovely Bryna in her element!
